there was a reflection in the mirror
who’s image i avoided this morning.
her face reminds me of those who looked,
eyes keep telling me what they’ve seen.
her skin is stained with touch;
a map of the path where her past has been.
so much to forget, so much to undo;
DeWitt must be done away with,
triple words, no more; i have lost to you.
even the clothes worn those days
are hidden away from sight.
all pieces of a memory found to be a lie;
i want to erase that girl who knows too much,
to tell the woman once with you
her stay in this world is up.
